Jira is a proprietary issue tracking product developed by Atlassian that allows bug tracking and agile project management. It is project management software first and foremost, but it began its life in 2002 as an issue tracking platform for software developers. Jira offers numerous features like sprints for Scrum management and other agile boards like Kanban. This allows teams to effectively and efficiently organize projects, define, assign and prioritize tasks.
