CO-OP Evaluations

“Andrew started the co-op term with a limited knowledge of “real-world” engineering, particularly in the construction field. He appropriately identified his weaknesses and goals early during the term with myself and another co-worker. Since then, he has been excellent at developing a technical understanding of different areas of work on site, and is asking the intelligent questions during walkthroughs. He has improved immensely on his understanding of flow of documentation between project parties (stakeholders, engineers, contractor, subcontractor etc.), his ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications has also been excellent. Andrew has recently taken on quality documentation and management within the project team and has been handling this task with limited supervision. Overall, Andrew has proven himself to be a sharp co-op that can learn quickly and apply lessons learned.”

Excellent – Exceeded job requirements in all areas

“Andrew has slowly come out of his shell over the past few months and has become comfortable with the project management team. His verbal communication has improved and he is asking the right questions to the right people. He has also taken on the task of distributing project documentation to different stakeholders with minimal to no assistance. His understanding of project documentation is proven in his confidence in communication.”

Outstanding – Exceptional performance or unique contribution

“Andrew is a hardworking co-op who is always on time (despite the long commute) and does not need to be told to do a task twice. He is taking on tasks from approx. 5 different staff and he is managing his “to-do” list adeptly. Andrew is highly organized and even introduced new web based platforms for the team to use for daily forms, submittals etc.”
